"Sniff 'n' Stop" Odorant Pads
Across the country various forms of wildlife can cause a great deal of aggravation when they get inside of utility enclosures. Pad mount transformers have been invaded by mice, gophers, snakes, ant mounds and even skunks!
Control panels and cabinets in sub-stations are often invaded by mice or other rodents. Whether they are burrowing from underground, exploiting small openings on the exterior or traveling through conduits, once these creatures get inside they tend to remain there. This frequently leads to costly equipment damage and service interruptions.
To ward off these problems I-Corp’s Sniff’n’Stop introduces the new Time Released Enclosure Odorant Pad. Applied to a canvas substrate and laminated with plastic that will permit vapour release, these pads are small, thin and very simple to apply. When introduced in an enclosure the pad will provide a sustained release above .2 ppm required to be effective. The time released formula will provide a long lasting barrier of protection against unwanted intrusions.
The pads are available in 4” x 4” (IS-EOP-440) and 6” x 8” (IS-EOP-680) sizes. Volume of an enclosure and airflow will be factors in determining which size to use and placement of the pad or pads.
