Water-Stop Kit for Sealing Ducts/Conduits

Application

IPLUG-WSK (Water-Stop) kits are used to seal ducts and conduits where water head pressures do not exceed 30’ with cables (15’ without cables), and with IPLUG Duct/Conduit Sealing Kits as a temporarily water barrier where higher water head pressure sealing capabilities are required. Each IPLUG-WSK Kit is simple to use and contains all components necessary to immediately stop flowing water and to seal ducts and conduits, both with and without cables. IPLUG-WSK Kits are available for all duct/conduit sizes ranging from 1-1/2" to 6" diameter.

Cost Effective

With IPLUG-WSK, flowing water can be stopped in all ducts/conduits from 1-1/2" to 6" in diameter, no mater what size, configuration, or number of cables. This reduces the need for costly pumping of adjacent vaults and manholes. Activated with water, IPLUG-WSK Kits can seal ducts without cables to 5’ water head pressure and ducts containing cables to 15’; and with IBOND Water-Bonding Adhesive, IPLUG-WSK Kits can seal ducts to 10’ and 30’ water head pressure, respectively.

Quick and Simple

IPLUG-WSK Water-Stop Kits can be installed quickly and easily. Where higher water head pressure capabilities are required, flowing water can be quickly stopped allowing IPLUG kits to be installed according to standard IPLUG installation procedures.

Cable Compatible

IPLUG-WSK Water-Stop Kit components have been tested and shown to be compatible with all duct/conduit, cable, and concentric neutral materials.

Conveniently Kitted

IPLUG-WSK kits are available to fit ALL utility duct and cable sizes ranging from 1-1/2" to 6" in diameter, both with and without cables. IPLUG-WSK Water-Stop Kits are sold twelve kits to the case. IPLUG-WSK IPAK Sleeves are also sold separately. IBOND Water-Bonding Adhesive is available in quart containers (sold 12 quarts to the case) with sufficient material for activating 8 ea. 2" or 3 ea. 3-6"
IPLUG-WSK Kits, and in gallon buckets (sold 4 gallons to the case) with sufficient material for activating 32 ea. 2" or 12 ea. 3-6" IPLUG-WSK Kits.

Method of Use

IPLUG-WSK kits consist of two IPLUG-WSK Water-Stop Sponges, and IPLUG-WSK IPAK Sleeves. To use, the gray Water-Stop Sponge is first pushed into the duct around the cables, where present. IPLUG-WSK IPAK Sleeves, activated by soaking in IBOND Water-Bonding Adhesive (or water), are placed around the cables and packed inside the duct using a wooden or plastic dowel and mallet until the water flow is stopped. Installation is completed by placing the green IPLUG-WSK Water-Stop Sponge around the cables and pushing it inside the duct against the IPAK Sleeves.
